  • What path led you to wealth management?

At my school’s 4th grade career day I shared that I wanted to be a stock broker, probably after having heard about the film “Wall Street”. In our 5th grade mock court system I was selected by my peers to be the Judge. It was shortly after that I determined I would take a career path of financial law. For a college class I was assigned to interview individuals at the brokerage firm Charles Schwab. It was during the interview that Schwab turned the tables and asked if I would join their intern program, which was followed by a job as a stock broker at their firm. This path from 4th grade on has led me to the world of financial compliance, somewhat living out my elementary school dreams of being involved in financial markets and governance.

  • Why did you join TFO Phoenix?

It’s important to me to work for a firm that values their employees and encourages a work/life balance. A firm that talks the talk and walks the walk. I’ve experienced many firms that say one thing, but the leaders do another. Our staff and leadership work to create a welcoming environment with balance and flexibility that attempts to accommodate everyone’s needs, both employees and clients.

  • What do you enjoy most about your role at TFO Phoenix?

Working to keep our clients and our firm protected through a strong Compliance program.

  • Why should families connect wealth and purpose?

It’s important for each family to identify their core values and goals. Those things may give them a sense of direction so that the hard work and wealth of the past may be preserved for future generations.

  • Education and accreditations

Series 7 and Series 63 License, December 1999 – February 2014
Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, Experienced Managers Course
Arizona State University, B.S., Global Business with a specialization in International Studies

  • What do you like to do outside of work? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

I love to spend free time with my husband, two children and rescue dogs. We enjoy outdoor activities, especially hiking and camping. I love to cook with my kids and enjoy every moment I can with them.

  • What are some of your biggest influences?

First and foremost my mother. Now that I’m a mother myself, I can better understand the sacrifices a parent makes for their children. The unconditional love and compassion my mother showed, especially during some of my challenging teenage years, makes her not only one of my biggest influences, but also one of my heroes.

  • What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in life?

A nurturing family is everything. I never knew I could love so much until I had my kids. I am very grateful for my family and the love that we share.
