June 27, 2019 – TFO Phoenix is pleased to announce it has been named to the 2019 edition of the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers. This is the second consecutive year TFO has been named to this list which recognizes top independent RIA firms from across the U.S. TFO Phoenix was one of only six Arizona-based advisors to receive this recognition.

The Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers is an independent listing produced annually by the Financial Times (June 2019). The FT 300 is based on data gathered from RIA firms, regulatory disclosures, and the FT’s research. The listing reflected each practice’s performance in six primary areas: assets under management, asset growth, compliance record, years in existence, credentials and online accessibility. This award does not evaluate the quality of services provided to clients and is not indicative of the practice’s future performance. Neither the RIA firms nor their employees pay a fee to The Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 300.

Two TFO Phoenix Advisors Named Top Young CPAs in Financial Planning

We are excited to announce that Chris Hess and Mason Longstreth, two of TFO’s Senior Wealth Advisors, were recently honored with the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA’s ) Standing Ovation Program* as top CPAs who are age 40 or younger in Personal Financial Planning. This year’s award was bestowed on only 17 professionals nationwide.

This award was based on six factors evaluated by The Financial Times including firm-wide growth, compliance records and advanced industry credentials of the firm’s advisors*. TFO Phoenix was one of only four Arizona-based advisors to receive this award.

*The Financial Times’ (FT) methodology is quantifiable and objective. The Registered Investment Advisers have no subjective input. The FT invites qualifying companies – more than 2,000 – to complete a lengthy application providing more information about them. Some 760 companies applied and 300 made the final list. The formula the FT uses to grade advisers is based on six broad factors and calculates a numeric score for each company. Areas of consideration include adviser Assets Under Management, asset growth, the company’s age, industry certifications of key employees, Securities and Exchange Commission compliance record and online accessibility. For the first time, our president Scott Horn has been named as the highest ranking financial advisor in Arizona by Barron’s Magazine. This is the fourth consecutive year he has been ranked in the top 5 advisors in Arizona.
